After reading this unique CAPTAIN AMERICA/EUREKA crossover story online (http://archiveofourown.org/works/514269), watching CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011) (http://marvel.wikia.com/Captain_America:_The_First_Avenger), and finding out that Howard Stark (http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Howard_Stark), was a member, alongside Nathaniel Richards (http://marvel.wikia.com/Nathaniel_Richards_(Earth-616) – Reed Richards’s (Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four) father), of a secret order known as the Brotherhood of The Shield (http://marvel.wikia.com/Howard_Stark_(Earth-616)#Brotherhood_of_the_Shield and http://marvel.wikia.com/Brotherhood_of_the_Shield_(Earth-616)), I am left with four questions:

  1. Is it possible that Howard Stark secretly helped Trevor Grant (http://eureka.wikia.com/wiki/Trevor_Grant), Albert Einstein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Einstein), and Vannevar Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vannevar_Bush), the head of the OSRD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Scientific_Research_and_Development), secure funding for the Eureka Charter (http://eureka.wikia.com/wiki/Eureka_(Town)?
  2. Did Howard Stark’s involvement with the Brotherhood of The Shield lead to the reorganization of the U.S. wartime agency known as the Strategic Scientific Reserve (http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Strategic_Scientific_Reserve) into the post-wartime intelligence and law enforcement agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/SHIELD) after World War 2, as well as to the formation of the protective service unit that guards Warehouse 13 (http://warehouse13.wikia.com/wiki/Warehouse_13)?
  3. If Howard Stark was a founder of the town of Eureka, Oregon, is this revelation the reason why the existence of the (deceased?) former Director of Operations at Global Dynamics (http://eureka.wikia.com/wiki/Global_Dynamics), Nathan Stark (http://eureka.wikia.com/wiki/Nathan_Stark), Howard’s first son from a previous relationship, and the older half-brother of Anthony Stark (http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Anthony_Stark), was kept secret until recently?
  4. And finally, if there are any ties between Global Dynamics and Stark Industries, what are they?

  1. I like this crossover idea a lot. I think Stark Industries and Global Dynamics have similar qualities as well and Nathan and Tony share a character resemblence in both looks and attitude. I think a story set in this crossover universe could work well.

I’m glad that you like this theory, Michelle! 🙂

I have had my suspicions about Eureka’s link to the Iron Man section of the Marvel Universe for a while. Especially, having a Stark in charge of the main research and development conglomerate in a town created for geniuses. IRON MAN, IRON MAN 2, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, and the recent S.H.I.E.L.D. comic book series (2010-present, that is, unfortunately, on hiatus as of Volume 2, issue #4) allowed me to bring in WAREHOUSE 13 with the subject matter in that series.

I look forward to expanding more on this theory.

Thank you for your feedback. 🙂
